Not over the hill yet, but the air is getting thinner

So last Thursday was my 30th birthday.  It feels a little strange leaving the 20’s behind, but I’ll admit it wasn’t nearly as depressing as I thought it would be.  When I came home from work, I was surprised to find Natalie had decorated the kitchen with streamers, balloons, and confetti.  After a delicous home-cooked meal, made by Natalie (of course), I opened my presents then we ate icecream cake (mmmm, my favorite).  Natalie spoiled me with a bunch of new shirts and some new shoes, so now I won’t dress like a homeless person.  She also got me the Ghostbusters DVD, which she refers to as “the bowling ball gift” because she really wanted it (if you’re not sure what a bowling ball has to do with it, you’ll need to watch more Simpsons).  After the festivities we went to a play at the Hale Center Theater (Natalie got season tickets for her birthday, so I suppose you could think of it as a celebration for her birthday too).  It was a lot of fun and helped me keep my mind off the fact I’d breached the 30’s.
